Perspective

Here I sit on the second rainy day of my spring break reflecting upon the idea that today will be an inside day. I've concluded that there are 2 paths of interpretation. The first path will lead me to gloom for this is the usual emotion evoked by overcast days. However, I will choose the second path for this path leads me towards the idea of renewal.
The rain washes away the dirt upon the earth; washing it clean and providing a new start to those lucky enough to have witnessed the storm. Spring break also provides a time of renewal and refocus for those teachers and students involved. A week away from the grind of work and daily responsibilities put on those at each school. Just as the rain creates a refreshed land, spring break allows teachers and students alike to return to school invigorated ready for the last push. It is this last push towards the end that is the toughest. But with the week of renewal, our worries and frustrations will be washed away with the rain and we will return ready for the challenges.
